1. Who is responsible

2. What we collect
When you join the waitlist, we process:
- Your email address, so we can notify you at launch.
- The countries (corridors) you select, to understand demand and prioritise launch markets.
- A referral code generated for you, and the code of anyone who referred you (if you arrived via a referral link).
- Technical data such as IP address, browser and device information, and timestamps, processed automatically by our hosting and form providers for security and to deliver the page.
3. Why we use it and our legal basis
- To manage the waitlist and notify you at launch, based on your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you give by submitting the form.
- To prioritise launch corridors and improve our offering, based on our legitimate interest in planning the product (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
- To operate the referral feature and prevent abuse, based on our legitimate interest in securing the service (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
4. Who processes the data for us
We use the following service providers (processors), each under a data processing agreement:
- Formspree, to receive and store waitlist submissions.
- Vercel, to host and serve this website.
Some of these providers may process data outside the EU/EEA. Where that happens, the transfer is safeguarded by the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or an equivalent mechanism.
5. How long we keep it
We keep waitlist data until the PayBaan service launches and for a reasonable period afterwards to send launch communications, or until you ask us to delete it or withdraw your consent, whichever comes first.
6. Your rights
Under the GDPR you have the right to access, rectify, erase, restrict, and port your data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent at any time (without affecting prior processing). To exercise any of these, email privacy@paybaan.com.
You also have the right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority. Our lead authority is Der Hessische Beauftragte für Datenschutz und Informationsfreiheit, Wiesbaden.
7. Cookies and analytics
This pre-launch page uses only what is strictly necessary to function and does not set non-essential or advertising cookies. If we add analytics later, we will request your consent first and update this notice.
8. Changes to this notice
We may update this notice as the product develops. The current version and its date are always shown at the top of this page.
